Alicia got the chance to sit on Santa's lap when we went out to eat this evening. She was scared last year when we saw Santa, but she had only been with us several weeks and only in the U.S. an even shorter time. She cried.
She did better this year. We just couldn't get her to smile.
We figure there might be a smile next year. Alicia did like the cookie Santa gave her and wanted to eat it before her dinner.
The party didn't happen as planned last weekend because Lil' Gal, Daddy and Derek came down with the stomach bug. But we made up for lost time and did it tonight.
The Theme: Dora The Explorer. There could be nothing better.
Alicia was in her glory with all the balloons. She loves them!
In fact, she was in her glory throughout the entire evening:
This pink Barbie Jeep kept buzzing the party and Alicia couldn't figure out why it was coming and going. We won't let her know Daddy was working the remote sitting in a chair only feet away.
It was a great party. The first for the Guatemalan Angel on U.S. soil.
The Angel suit came off for Halloween and a Penguin outfit was the attire for the evening. Alicia calls it "Ping-Ping." Close enough for us.
We went to Grandma and PaPa's for a Halloween Party before visiting an area nursing home. Here I am with PaPa but whose camera should I be looking at?
How's the back side look, Daddy?
Whew! Being a Penguin can make you very, very warm. No wonder they live where it's very cold. I'll just stand here and be COOL!
What will Mommy dress me in next year? Stay Tuned!
The two saying "I Do" were Ruth and Curt. Alicia LOVED the reception and the opportunity to have her picture taken with the Bride.
The food was super delicious but Lil' Gal didn't eat all her veggies!
Alicia was in AWE of the biggest cake she's ever seen and was impressed it took two people to cut it!
And there was dancing. Daddy...did you just give me a big twirl?
And the fun had to stop at some point so Alicia could get to bed. Here she is with Daddy just before leaving.
Congratulations Ruth and Curt. See ya' after a week of soaking up the sun in Mexico.
